Luthra Brothers Arrested: On the evening of December 6, a terrible fire at the well-known Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Arpora, Goa, killed twenty-five persons, primarily employees and a few visitors. Pyrotechnics on the first-floor dance floor are said to have caused the fire to start during a live performance around 11:45 p.m.
The club’s owners, Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, as well as senior management and event planners, were the targets of a formal complaint filed by the Goa Police within hours, citing major infractions of fire safety regulations, blocked emergency exits, and indoor usage of fireworks. In relation to the incident, five managers and employees were taken into custody.

According to records, they boarded the IndiGo aircraft 6E 1073 to Phuket at 5:30 AM after logging into MakeMyTrip at 1:17 AM on December 7. Goa Police asked the Ministry of External Affairs to cancel their passports after suspending them. To find the brothers overseas, Interpol Blue Corner warnings were triggered, and Lookout Circulars (LOCs) were issued.
