Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan made his stylish debut on the 2025 Met Gala. This also marks the first time an Indian male star ever graced the glamorous red carpet. The international sensation gave him a warm welcome upon his arrival dressed in a regal Sabyasachi ensemble of a black silk sherwani-style jacket paired with a striking diamond-encrusted “K” pendant.
While the event was opulent, SRK admitted that the Met Gala was not exactly his comfort zone. In a heartfelt post, he thanked fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee for making him feel comfortable, stating, “It’s not my space, but you made me feel so comfortable… because you, like me, believe style and fashion is just being who you are”. The Outfit That Stole the Show
SRK’s Met Gala outfit was a blend of Indian heritage and modern glamour. His long coat, which was created from Tasmanian superfine wool, was accessorized with a Bengal Tiger Head Cane, 18k gold created and encrusted with diamonds and sapphires. The outfit was in keeping with his understated style but made a powerful statement on the global fashion circuit.

SRK’s Met Gala arrival was greeted by his friends from Bollywood. His longtime co-star Kajol playfully recreated his look and shared a humorous “spot the difference” photo. Karan Johar, on the other hand, crowned him the “King of the Met” and hailed SRK’s effortless star power.
While SRK is famous for his jeans-and-T-shirt look, he owned up to the fact that his kids’ excitement was the deciding factor in him going to the Met Gala. He said, “I have kids who are very excited about the Met. I don’t know if I would have come here on my own, but when Sabyasachi suggested it, my kids went ‘wow'”.
