A major plane crash was averted at the Shamshabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. The passengers breathed a sigh of relief as the pilot acted alertly. Otherwise, the two planes would have collided with each other and an unexpected accident would have occurred.
The incident took place on Sunday (March 9) morning. According to airport officials, IndiGo Airlines flight 6E-6973 took off from Goa via Shamshabad Airport to Vizag Airport with 150 passengers on board.
In this order, the ATC officials allowed the Shamshabad airport to make a forced landing. With this, the pilot prepared the hydraulic gear of the plane. After getting clearance from the ATC, the pilot downed the flight service. However, another plane was already ready to take off on the runway. Noticing this, the pilot became alert. He immediately took his plane into the air. With this, a major accident was averted in a matter of minutes. The plane circled in the air for 10 minutes until the plane on the runway left. Then the pilot landed the plane safely. With this, the officials and passengers breathed a sigh of relief.
After a while, the flight service left for Vizag. Officials say that if the pilot had not been alert, a major accident could have occurred. ATC officials have ordered an investigation into the incident.
