Swiggy-NCS Tie Up:
The NCS portal is becoming a strong platform for employment in India. The Ministry of Labour and Employment has announced that food delivery giant Swiggy will create 10 to 12 lakh new jobs in the next two to three years.
The Ministry stated that Swiggy has the potential to support nearly 5 crore jobs. The agreement with Swiggy is part of a broader plan to reduce the gap between job demand and supply in the labour market.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya explained that the National Career Service (NCS) portal is now a single window system for job seekers. Over 31 crore individuals are already registered on the Shram Portal. Employers can now directly access this data through NCS and hire skilled workers.
The NCS platform aims to streamline hiring, offer training opportunities and serve as a complete solution for employment services. Employers can easily find suitable candidates. This is expected to transform the job recruitment process in India.
Swiggy alone plans to generate over 10 lakh jobs in the coming years. Other companies are also preparing to join hands with the government to create more employment.
Minister Mandaviya said the NCS platform will help both youth and employers. It will become a leading platform not just in India, but globally.
Swiggy’s Operations In Charge, Salb Srivastava, expressed happiness about joining NCS. He said Swiggy has created lakhs of jobs over the last decade. This partnership will help them connect with more skilled workers.
Swiggy plans to expand its hiring through NCS. The company believes this collaboration will increase access to skilled manpower and improve India’s labour ecosystem.
The NCS portal is a major step in linking technology with employment. It aims to build a stronger and more efficient job market for the future.
