OU Professor Enters Guinness Book: Telangana secured yet another notch in the belt when Dr. Daisy, a celebrity Osmania University (OU) professor, got her name enrolled in the Guinness Book of World Records. An OU Professor of Economics Department and SC & ST Cell Director, Dr. Daisy’s achievement is based on her hard work and creativity.
The event was organized on 1 December 2024 in conjunction with Hallel Music School. Involvement of people of every corner of the world, the event became an ideal showcase of musical unity and art. A total number of 1,098 members took part, belonging to 18 nations who came together and performed Sarali Swaras over the piano or keyboard. What made the exercise even more special was the performance upload mode—each participant posted their version sequentially on Instagram within a one-hour time frame. Prof Daisy’s Role
Among the heterogeneous group of participants was Dr. Daisy, a pillar of artistic excellence and philanthropy. Her work, one out of thousands, was duly certified by Guinness World Records judges. Out of the original 1,098 performances, 1,046 participants cleared the qualifying threshold to have their achievements accepted. A feat in which Dr. Daisy achieved.
