Telangana Property Registration: The Telangana government has launched a slot booking system to simplify the registration process. This new system will be available from April 10.
Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stated that the registration process now takes only 10–15 minutes.
The government plans to modernize sub-registrar offices. This upgrade improves speed and efficiency of services. Minister Ponguleti announced that sub-registrar offices will start slot booking from April 10.
In the first phase, officials will roll out the system in 22 sub-registrar offices.
. Citizens can book slots through the official website:registration.telangana.gov.in. This system will eliminate long waiting times and streamline the process.
The slot booking system will be introduced in 22 sub-registrar offices as a pilot project. Minister Ponguleti stated that this initiative will ensure transparent and efficient services. People can complete registration in 10–15 minutes.
The state has 144 sub-registrar offices. In the first phase, the system will be implemented in:
– Hyderabad: Ajam Pur, Chikkadpally
– Sangareddy: Sadashivpet
– Medchal: Quthbullapur, Vallabh Nagar
– Ranga Reddy: Shamshabad, Saroor Nagar, Champapet
– Peddapalli: Ramagundam
– Khammam: Kusumanchi, Khammam (R.O)
– Medchal (R.O), Mahabubnagar (R.O), Jagityal, Nirmal
– Warangal: Fort, Rural
– Kothagudem, Armoor, Bhuvanagiri, Choutuppal, Nagar Kurnool
To prevent overcrowding, each office will have 48 daily slots. People can book their preferred date and time online. Those without a slot booking can opt for walk-in registration between 5 PM and 6 PM daily.
Officials will serve the first five applicants based on a first-come, first-served system.
To improve efficiency, the department will appoint extra staff in high-traffic offices. In Medchal-Malkajgiri’s Quthbullapur office, the government will deploy two additional sub-registrars.This will increase the available slots to 144 per day.
Physical signatures cause delays in the registration process. To resolve this, the government will introduce Aadhaar e-signatures by the end of this month. This feature will make document signing faster and reduce processing time.
The government plans to amend the law to prevent double registrations. Complaints about duplicate property registrations are increasing. Telangana will modify Section 22 of the Registration Act to prevent such issues.
