Telangana Rain: The Hyderabad Meteorological Center has issued a rain alert for Telangana. It is said that as the southwest monsoon has become active again, there will be widespread rains across the state. Hyderabad Meteorological Center has revealed that there is a chance of heavy rains in Telangana for another four days due to the influence of a surface depression formed in the Bay of Bengal. In the wake of these heavy rain warnings, people have been advised to be alert.
Today, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Gadwal, Nirmal, Nizamabad and Mahabubnagar districts. To this extent, a yellow alert has been issued for the respective districts.
It is reported that there is a possibility of rain in Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, and Kothagudem districts tomorrow (June 15). Also there is a chance of heavy rain in Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Kothagudem, Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, and Mancherial districts on June 16 and 17. Reports says that there is a chance of heavy rain here and there in Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Kothagudem, Khammam, Asifabad, Mancherial, Karimnagar, and Peddapalli districts on June 18 and during the rains, there will be thunder and lightning along with strong gusty winds at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. In the wake of the rain warnings, people are advised to take precautions while planning their travels and participating in outdoor activities. People in low-lying areas should be more vigilant.
On Thursday night and Friday (June 13), heavy rain lashed several parts of Hyderabad city. Torrential rain accompanied by thunder and lightning troubled the city residents. As a result, many parts of the city were flooded and normal life was disrupted. Heavy rainfall was recorded in Hayatnagar, Secunderabad, Banjara Hills, Uppal, Kothi, Tarnaka, Ameerpet, and Sanathnagar areas. Low-lying areas were completely submerged due to this torrential rain. Heavy floodwaters flooded the roads, causing severe disruption to vehicular traffic. Hyderabad Meteorological Center officials have issued warnings that rains will continue in many parts of the city today as well.
