Telangana School Calendar 2025–26: The Telangana School Education Department has published the academic calendar of 2025–26. With timelines, holidays, and attendance targets, this new schedule sets the tone for an effective and organized academic year in the state. The school year will begin on June 12, 2025, and will continue through April 23, 2026, thus giving 230 working days in total. 90% student attendance is to be ensured by the schools, and monthly review shall be conducted by regular monitoring. Parental involvement will also be encouraged in case of irregular attendance.
For convenience of student performance monitoring, the calendar includes provision for formative and summative assessments:
Formative Assessments (FA):
FA-1: To be submitted by 31st July, 2025
FA-2: Deadline September 30, 2025
FA-3: Should be submitted by 23rd December, 2025 (Classes I–IX)
FA-4: February 7, 2026 (Class X) and February 28, 2026 (Classes I–IX)
Summative Assessments (SA):
SA-1: To be conducted from 24th to 31st October, 2025
SA-2: To be conducted between 10th to 18th April, 2026 for Classes I–IX
Pre-Final Exams: For Class X, to be finished by 28th February, 2026
SSC Board Exams: To be conducted in March 2026
School Holidays
Dasara Holiday: September 21 to October 3, 2025
Christmas Holidays: December 23–27, 2025 (for missionary schools)
Sankranti Holidays: January 11 to 15, 2026
