It is worrying that such weather changes are taking place in the dry season , even before the onset of the monsoon season. Temperatures have been steadily rising in the state for the past few days. Also, untimely rains and hailstorms are likely to become a nuisance for the people. Farmers especially need to be more careful during this time. If hailstorms fall during the harvest season, there is a risk of severe damage.
In the wake of the warnings of the Meteorological Department, the state government machinery has also been alerted. It has ordered the officials of the concerned districts to be alert. It has advised them to be ready to take relief measures if necessary. The officials are also appealing to the people to monitor the weather conditions in their respective areas and take appropriate precautions. They are advising that special care should be taken especially for young children and the elderly as they are likely to be affected quickly by such weather changes.

During strong winds, people should not go near electric poles or other dangerous objects. Drivers should also be careful when it rains. There is a risk of vehicles losing control due to standing water on the road. Therefore, the Meteorological Department is once again appealing to motorists to be vigilant.
