Terror Attack in J-K Akhnoor Claims Life of Indian Army Official

Terror Attack in J-K: An Indian Army officer was killed in an encounter with terrorists in Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 12, 2025. Security forces were conducting an operation when they came under fire from terrorists. The Army official, who was leading the team, sustained fatal injuries during the clash. His sacrifice highlights the ongoing threats faced by soldiers in the region.


Terror Attack in J-K:

In another incident in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, a major tragedy was prevented on April 9, 2025. Security forces discovered a suspicious object on a roadside during a routine patrol. Upon closer inspection, it was confirmed to be an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). A bomb disposal squad was called in and safely destroyed the device without causing any damage.

Elsewhere, a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was seriously injured in an IED explosion near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district. The blast occurred during the night of April 8-9. The explosion was triggered while the area was being cleared by resulting in the jawan losing a toe. BSF has increased security and suspended farming in the area to prevent further danger. Officials noted that while drones carrying drugs had been detected in the past, the presence of an IED was unusual for this region.


Meanwhile, in another part of India, a CRPF jawan was hurt in a pressure IED blast planted by Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district. The jawan was immediately taken to a hospital. The blast occurred during a security patrol. Search operations are ongoing in the area to find those responsible.

These incidents has once again underline the constant danger faced by India’s security personnel. Despite the risks, they continue to safeguard the nation with courage and commitment.
