“There’s No Smoke Without Fire”: Amaal Mallik on Anu Malik’s MeToo Allegations

“There’s No Smoke Without Fire”: Amaal Mallik on Anu Malik’s MeToo Allegations

MeToo Allegations Against Anu Malik:

Bollywood music composer Amal Malik has made strong claims against his uncle, Anu Malik, accusing him of harming the career of his father, Daboo Malik. In a recent interview, Amal revealed that Anu Malik allegedly took away several opportunities from Daboo by offering to work at lower rates or even for free.

MeToo Allegations Against Anu Malik:

Daboo Malik, though a talented composer and singer never gained as much fame as his brother Anu Malik. Amal said that whenever his father got a music project, Anu Malik would approach the producers and offer to do the same work for less money. He believes this wasn’t a one-time event but a regular pattern over the years.

He also claimed that this behavior hasn’t stopped. “Even now, when I announce a project, he sometimes tries to step in,” Amal added. Despite being family, he feels professional jealousy has played a big role in the relationship.

Interestingly, Amal mentioned that when Anu and Daboo are together personally, they act like close brothers. However in professional matters, things change. Amal said Anu always wanted to be seen as the best in the family which may have led to competitive behavior.

This rivalry affected Daboo Malik deeply. According to Amal, his father suffered from depression between the ages of 32 and 45, despite working on over 70 films. He said people only saw Daboo as “Anu Malik’s brother” and never gave him the respect he truly deserved.

Amal expressed a strong desire to change this narrative. He wants his father to be known for his own talent and work not just as someone else’s sibling. Amal also hopes that he and his brother Armaan Malik are recognized in their own right and not only as Anu Malik’s nephews.
