Actor-model Shefali Jariwala passed away on Friday in Mumbai. She was just 42. Her husband, Parag Tyagi, and friends rushed her to Bellevue Hospital. Doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Mumbai Police confirmed her body was found at her Andheri home. They sent it to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. The cause of death remains unknown.
Shefali rose to fame with the 2002 remix “Kaanta Laga.” The music video made her a household name. She then starred in ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ and later entered ‘Bigg Boss 13’.
She joined ‘Bigg Boss 13’ as a wild card. Inside the house, she reconnected with ex-boyfriend Sidharth Shukla. Their conversations, warmth, and chemistry grabbed national attention.
She supported Sidharth in tasks and often clashed with other contestants. Shehnaaz Gill once showed jealousy over their growing closeness. Viewers saw Shefali as bold yet composed.
Shefali held a degree in Information Technology from Sardar Patel Engineering College, Gujarat. She was as brainy as she was glamorous.
Privately, she battled epilepsy. She had her first seizure at 15. She later revealed that stress triggered her condition. Regular workouts helped her stay balanced and strong.
She first married Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros, but the marriage ended in 2009. She married Parag Tyagi in 2014 after four years of dating.
