This year, the number is likely to increase. Spread over a remarkable 74 hectares, the garden has an exquisite collection of tulips from around the country and globe.

Floriculture Officer & In-charge of Tulip Garden Javaid Masood said online tickets are available to avoid the rush and ensure smooth functioning. “17 lakh Tulips will be on display here. The CM has consented to open the garden to the public tomorrow. The final preparations are underway. We received 4.5 lakh tourists last year and hope to break the last year’s record this year. We have experimented with new varieties of flowers and colour schemes. The garden has attracted many tourists to J&K and helped the local economy”, he further added.

The Tulip Garden has added two more varieties of tulips and expects 5.5 lakh tourists to attend. In addition to tulips, visitors will experience an impressive display of hyacinths, daffodils, muscari, and cyclamens. With these many flowers in various colours, the garden guarantees a beautiful viewing experience.

The garden has become a must-visit destination for those who want to enjoy nature in its glorious form, surrounded by the stunning foothills of the Zabarwan mountain range and the picturesque sight of Dal Lake waters. It has officially found a place and is recognized in the World Book of Records. Started in 2007, this Garden has become a top tourist spot in Kashmir. Located at 5,600 feet altitude, the garden was inaugurated by then-Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to boost local tourism.
