Although Hardeep Singh Puri admitted that the Israel-Iran war will have an impact on international oil prices, he said that there is no threat at present. The Union Minister clarified that petrol and diesel prices are stable and under control. There is no shortage of oil internationally. He said that the central government will monitor this situation closely. Hardeep Singh Puri has clarified the ongoing campaign that if international oil prices increase, petrol and diesel prices will skyrocket in India.
He said that since June 13, there has been a high level of tension between Iran and Israel, which is likely to lead to an increase in the price of a barrel of oil internationally. In addition, Hardeep Singh Puri dismissed speculations that a hike in petrol and diesel prices is certain in India. He clarified that while tensions are escalating in West Asia, there is an atmosphere of great uncertainty, but the central government is confident that this situation can be overcome. The Union Minister said that there is no change in oil prices in the country at present, and there is no shortage of oil internationally, so there is no need to worry.
