However, at the same time, the way a doctor behaved has now come to light. It has recently come to light that some of the doctors who were considered gods can also be demons. It has been found that such people are not at all suitable for the term Vaidyonarayano Hari. An audio clip related to a heartbreaking incident that took place in Maharashtra has recently gone viral. The audio clip shows a doctor instructing his colleague to kill a female patient infected with Corona due to lack of enough beds in the hospital. When the victim’s family members complained about this, the police registered a case against the doctor.
Those were the days when the Corona epidemic was at its peak in 2021. At that time, all the hospitals were crowded with Corona patients . It became very difficult to find beds for the patients. It also became difficult to get oxygen for those who needed it. At the same time, the government set up a Corona Care Center at the Udgir Government Hospital in Latur district of Maharashtra.
There was a phone conversation between Dr. Shashikant Deshpande, the additional district surgeon on duty there, and another doctor, Shashikant Dange. Shashikant Deshpande suggested to Dange over the phone to kill a woman who had been undergoing treatment for 10 days. Dange responded to this and said that the oxygen supply had already been reduced. It is noteworthy that they said this because there were not enough beds in the hospital .
The victim woman underwent treatment for 10 days at Udgir Hospital. On the 7th day, Dr. Dange was sitting next to her husband in the afternoon and was having lunch. At the same time, he received a call from Dr. Deshpande. Dange, who had turned on the loudspeaker, was explaining the conditions in the hospital at that time. They talked about how there were no empty beds and everything was crowded.
At the same time, Deshpande, who mentioned the name of a patient, commented, “Kill her, Isn’t that what you do?” The victim’s husband, who was nearby, was shocked to hear all this. But he remained silent, fearing that if he made a fuss, he would lose even the little treatment he was getting. After a few days, when she recovered, he discharged her and took her home. After that, the patient’s husband did not pay much attention to the matter.
The incident took place in April 2021, and recently the audio of the phone conversation in this regard has gone viral. When it reached the victim’s family, the couple filed a complaint with the police. The police registered a case against Dr. Deshpande and seized his mobile phone. His statement was recorded. It was revealed that notices have also been issued to another doctor and a full-scale investigation is underway.
