Vodafone Idea: Vi (Vodafone Idea) has formally declared that its 5G services will begin to roll out in Bengaluru tomorrow. This action equips citizens and businesses in India’s IT hub with next-generation network capabilities by bringing high-speed data, reduced latency, and improved connectivity. This expansion is a component of Vi’s strategic plan to reach all 17 target circles by August of this year, following successful rollouts in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Patna, and Chandigarh.
Vi customers in Bengaluru can now enjoy lag-free gaming, smooth streaming, lightning-fast internet connections, and real-time cloud access with devices that support 5 G. Vi is offering consumers on plans starting from just ₹299 with unlimited 5G data as a promotional offer. With quicker downloads and more seamless video conferencing, this project seeks to improve the city’s tech-savvy citizens’ digital experiences.
Self-Organizing Networks (SON):
Vi has teamed up with Samsung to implement AI-powered Self-Organizing Networks (SON) and energy-efficient infrastructure in order to provide an unparalleled 5G experience. These developments guarantee sustainability while automatically maximizing network performance. Vi is giving Bengaluru’s subscribers a smooth and environmentally responsible 5G experience by combining high-transmit power with small, multi-technology radios.

“Bengaluru is a hub of tech innovation, and we’re thrilled to introduce 5G here,” said Anand Dani, Vodafone Idea’s Business Head for Karnataka, who expressed excitement about the launch. We want to improve user experiences with our updated 4G and next-generation 5G networks. We are encouraged to grow further in tandem with the increasing use of 5G by the robust response from other markets.
Vi has improved its 4G network throughout Karnataka in addition to expanding its 5G network. The company has increased 2100 MHz capacity over 1,800 sites, enhanced 1800 MHz spectrum on over 4,100 locations, and installed 900 MHz spectrum on approximately 3,000 sites for improved indoor coverage in the last ten months. Since March 2024, these improvements have expanded network capacity by 46%, guaranteeing dependable connectivity in both urban and rural regions.
