In Andhra Pradesh’s political circles, businessman and realtor Lingamaneni Ramesh is a well-known personality. Since former chief minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu lives in Lingamaneni’s home on the banks of the Krishna River, even the general public is familiar with his name. He is also well-known for his strong relationships with Jana Sena Party (JSP) members, such as senior leader Nadendla Manohar and party chief Pawan Kalyan. There is a rumor that Janasena Party office in Mangalagiri was bought at very low price with his influence.
What Happened to his influence and power:
In the YSRCP Ruling, Lingamaneni has gone through many problems. Many cases have been filed against their works, like the Amaravati riverbank illegal construction and, Inner Ring Road scam. Almost there was a time, when his business was completely stopped.
The TDP and JSP are said to have welcomed Lingamaneni’s businesses, and he is now seen as regaining influence with the TDP-led coalition back in power. There are rumors that in the recent State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting few projects were approved by the officials. A few projects like Ecoren Energy India Project, Kadapa Energy Project Pvt ltd. Current directors for this projects are well known and also very close to Lingamaneni.
Complaints on Lingamaneni:
In 2023 Chaitanya group of institutions BV Rao filed a case on Lingamaneni by stating that that they have given 300 crores for land expansion for their educational institution, but he has not hand over the land. There was a rumor that Lingamaneni had brought the Jana Sena party and Chandra Babu Naidu in a close-door meeting in 2018 so that it helps Chandra Babu Naidu.
