Avanthika: How do you get offers in Hollywood

Tollywood Child artist and Hollywood actress Avanthika Vandanapu is well popular for her roles in Mean Girls and Tarot released in Hollywood. She worked in many Telugu films as a child artist and established her career with top actors in the industry.

In a recent interview, she spoke about how the Hollywood film industry works and how an actor gets film offers. She also compared how fast-paced the Hollywood industry is compared to the Indian film industry. Generally in the Indian film industry for any actor PR and agent who handles a complete actor’s career are the main sources for the actors to get into good films. Most of the people in Tollywood have their managers but this is not the same pattern in Hollywood.

Avanthika about Hollywood Remuneration:

In a recent interview, Avanthika said, that Hollywood is way different than what Indian film industry. Except for the top 10 actors in Hollywood, everyone has to go through auditions. Even though the actor has done quite good films in the past still he or she has to go through the audition process.

She added, “Following this audition, if the director and producers liked the audition reel and selected it, then the actors get a callback or producer session. After the selection process, the rest of the work is completely dependent on the actor.

The manager mainly handles the actors’ logistics and the agents follow up with the upcoming roles and auditions. Once the actors get their foot in the room, it’s their responsibility to carry forward.

Remuneration in Hollywood:

In India, actors mainly have managers who deal with the actor’s remuneration and close the deal with the producers. for this Avanthika said, “I’m not that big actor to quote for the producers, but the actors who are in my range usually have a lawyer who takes care of finances and agreements. In addition to their manager and agent, every working actor has one attorney who deals with their finances and contract-related issues.

Royalty for actors:

Compared to the Indian film industry Hollywood does have royalty which pays the actors after they work on the project. Depending upon their percentage they get the royalty yearly and quarterly. In this case, actors do get a royalty for the revenue generated on the project. She said “Even if the actor who has one dialogue also will get paid for their royalty”
