Celebrity Residents Evacuate as Massive Wildfires Broke Out in LA. According to TMZ, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt lost their houses in the wildfire that ravaged Los Angeles. On Tuesday, January 7, the home of reality TV stars Pratt and Montag, which is situated in the Pacific Palisades region of Los Angeles, burned down. The fire was said to have started in their house.
According to FireCal, the fires have destroyed over 2,2900 acres, including many residences. In the midst of the mayhem, California Governor Gavin Newsom has proclaimed a state of emergency. Additionally, on Monday, January 6, the National Weather Service issued a red flag warning, which is in force for a large portion of Southern California through Wednesday, January 8. Residents in Pacific Palisades have been advised by local authorities to “evacuate now.”
The fire has forced several celebrities, besides Pratt and Montag, to leave their residences. Actors Eugene Levy and James Woods are among the others; in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Levy disclosed that he became stuck in traffic with other evacuating residents attempting to escape the Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
“The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon,” the American Pie star said. “I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark.”
Woods posted a video of the fire to X with the word, “Leaving.”
To all the wonderful people who’ve reached out to us, thank you for being so concerned. Just letting you know that we were able to evacuate successfully. I do not know at this moment if our home is still standing, but sadly houses on our little street are not. pic.twitter.com/xZjvsIg6Fg

He shared several other clips of the blaze. In one, he said they were “able to evacuate successfully,” admitting, “I do not know at this moment if our home is still standing, but sadly houses on our little street are not.”
Steve Guttenberg, an actor from the Police Academy, advised locals who had left their cars to leave their car keys so that firefighters could access them. “This is not a parking lot,” the actor told KTLA5. “We really need people to move their cars … There are people stuck up there. So we’re trying to clear Palisades Drive and I’m walking up there as far as I can moving cars.”
