Coldplay Concert: Chris Martin Apologies For British Rule In India. On the second day of the Coldplay concert in India, Chris Martin’s interaction with fans has been grabbing the attention. On the second day, at the end of the concert, Chris Martin thanked his fans and Mumbai for giving the opportunity to perform. In his thank you speech he mentioned an apology to all the Indians because of the British rule in India.


Chris Martin is a citizen of Great Britain and finds it wrong that India was a colony of British rule a year back. Fans found it surprising and hilarious at the same time as he apologized for something that happened years ago.

Chris Martin said, “This is our fourth visit to India and the second time to play. The first time we played a long show and we could not have asked for a better audience. Thank you for coming today everybody!”


Apologizing about the British rue in India he said, “It is amazing to us that you welcome us even though we are from Great Britain. Thank you for forgiving us for all of the bad things that Great Britain has done.”

The musician has been enjoying the sights and sounds of Mumbai ever since Chris arrived in India last Thursday. Here, he is accompanied by actor-girlfriend Dakota Johnson, who was spotted walking hand in hand throughout the city. In addition, Chris traveled to Marine Drive and, with Dakota, to a Shiva temple in Mumbai to worship. At the temple grounds, Chris and Dakota were both spotted dressed traditionally. Along with Gayatri Joshi and actor Sonali Bendre, Dakota also visited the Siddhivinayak Temple.

On Saturday night, Coldplay began their India tour in Mumbai. The group is also planning to play in Mumbai on Sunday and Tuesday. They will play two straight performances in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26 after Mumbai.
