This departure from the norm stands out, as Hollywood premieres in India usually take place in high-end multiplexes in Mumbai.

The strategy isn’t just unconventional, it carries a deep nostalgic resonance. Back in 1994, Jurassic Park, the first installment in the franchise, became the first Hollywood film to be dubbed in Hindi. The experiment paid off. It drew large audiences from India’s B and C centers, many of whom typically avoided English-language films. As a result, Jurassic Park emerged as India’s first true Hollywood blockbuster, earning over ₹7.50 crore, a remarkable figure for its time. That success didn’t just benefit one film; it expanded the entire landscape for Hollywood dubbing in India. With Jurassic World Rebirth, the franchise now circles back to where it all began, honoring its roots while celebrating how far it has come.

Jurassic World Premiere in Iconic Raj Mandir:

Given the consistent success of the dubbed versions of the Jurassic series in India, the Universal team decided to premiere Jurassic World Rebirth in the hinterland as a tribute to the massive fan base that has supported the franchise over the years. “And where better than Jaipur’s iconic single-screen theatre, Raj Mandir?” a source remarked.

Raj Mandir’s long-standing reputation for hosting high-profile events also worked in its favor. The theatre’s management expressed excitement about hosting its first-ever Hollywood premiere in its fifty-year history. Visitors will step into an immersive dinosaur-era experience featuring interactive photo zones and themed installations. Digital star Nagma Mirajkar will host the grand premiere, with popular influencers like Ashish Chanchlani and several celebrities expected to attend. The event anticipates a crowd of over a thousand guests, including fans, media personnel, and top digital creators, making it a full-scale cinematic celebration.

Dubbing Director Ashim Samanta:

Warner Bros. Pictures is set to honor the legacy of the 1994 original Hindi dub with a special premiere of Jurassic World Rebirth at Jaipur’s iconic Raj Mandir on Thursday, July 3. The event will feature renowned dubbing director Ashim Samanta, who played a key role in dubbing earlier films in the franchise and the latest Hindi version. His involvement ensures the film delivers timeless continuity and nostalgic authenticity to a new generation of fans.

“We are very excited to bring this historic event to Jaipur,” said Denzil Dias, VP and Managing Director of Warner Bros. Pictures India. He emphasized that Jurassic World Rebirth in Hindi not only marks a grand premiere but also pays tribute to the legacy of Jurassic Park while celebrating the evolution of Hindi-dubbed Hollywood cinema.
