The Oscar Awards 2025 is the 95th edition of the Academy Awards. The Academy Awards, also known as the Oscar Awards presentation began in May 1929. The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel hosted the awards ceremony which included an audience of about 270 people. Since then, the Oscars has become the most prestigious awards event. Every actor and creative genius aims for an Oscar award at least once in their lifetime.

The Oscar statuette is made of gold-plated bronze on a black metal base. It is 13.5 inches tall and weighs 3.9 kg. The Academy Award of Merit depicts a knight in Art Deco style holding a sword and standing on a film reel with five spokes. Those five spokes represent Actors, Writers, Directors, Producers, and Technicians.

The Oscar Awards is the oldest among American entertainment awards. Emmy Awards, Tony Awards, and Grammy Awards came into existence after the Academy Awards.
