The much-awaited film rocking Star Yash has become the centre of controversy. The reason behind facing illegal issues is likely to be cutting down trees without permission. Karnataka forest department has accused HMT (Hindustan Machine Tools) of cutting down trees from unauthorised areas. The incident took place in the Peenya forest of Bengaluru. The land belongs to a reserve forest but was illegally transferred to HMT without proper notification.
Karnataka Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre has responded to the allegations. The forest minister ordered officials to take action against those who are responsible for unauthorised tree felling. The Forest minister also examined the area where trees were cut off. He further directed the officials for satellite imagery to estimate the loss. He also called for detailed examination with satellite images of real situations.
Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel, H. D. Kumaraswamy, has accused the state government of using the issue as a political tool. He asserts that HMT legally owns the property and has been renting it out for various commercial purposes, including film shoots.
