Sai Pallavi is preparing for the release of her upcoming film Amaran on October 31, 2024, which will compete alongside Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Bhaskar and Jayam Ravi’s Brother. The well-known actress will appear alongside Sivakarthikeyan in this biographical action-war flick. While Sivakarthikeyan plays the martyred Major Mukund Varadarajan, Sai Pallavi portrays his wife, Indhu Rebecca. According to, the actress charged a hefty Rs 3 crore for her role. However, neither the filmmakers nor Sai Pallavi have officially confirmed this. Another media source states that Rajkumar Periasamy’s directorial is being produced on a high-scale budget of Rs 150-200 crores. However, there has been no formal confirmation.
Netizens, particularly die-hard Sai Pallavi fans, were smitten when the creators released the trailer for Amaran. The teaser not only depicts Major Mukund’s pleasant family moments but also goes into his difficult journey, both on the battlefield and at home.
For those unfamiliar, Amaran is based on the book India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes. The plot centers on Major Mukund Varadarajan, a soldier who was killed during the Qazipathri Operation in Shopian in 2014, and the real-life problems he faced.
Amaran’s supporting cast includes Rahul Bose, Bhuvan Arora, Shreekumar, and Rohman Shawl, in addition to the major performers Sai Pallavi and Sivakarthikeyan. Meanwhile, Netflix has reportedly acquired the film’s digital rights ahead of its theatrical debut. It is worth noting that Amaran is produced by iconic actor Kamal Haasan under the label Raaj Kamal Films International.
