Pushpa 2 is ruling the Indian Box office.

It’s official. Mythri Movie Makers announced on social media that Pushpa 2 has collected ₹1,871 crore till now. With 1871 Crore gross worldwide, Pushpa 2 surpassed Baahubali and created history at the Indian box office. With this, Pushpa 2: The Rule emerged as the second highest-grossing movie after Dangal.

The Power of Telugu Cinema

Telugu films have been doing wonders at the box office over the last few years. What started with Baahubali 1 is continued with Baahubali 2, Kalki 2898 AD, and Pushpa. Kannada movies like KGF and Kantara unleashed the potential of Kannada movies to the world. Now Pushpa 2 is ruling the box office.

Extraordinary Collections

Released on December 5, 2024, Pushpa 2 made phenomenal collections on Day 1. The film made ₹294 crores globally on its release day and became the first film to collect the highest first-day grosser for an Indian film. It took three days for the film to surpass ₹500 crore and six days to cross the ₹1,000 crore mark. Directed by Sukumar, the movie was made under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad composed the music. Despite the film running on Netflix, Pushpa 2 continues its theatrical run in a few cinemas. To celebrate this moment of pride, the makers have made a poster and posted it on social media.

Starring Icon Star Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles, Pushpa 2 created a sensation throughout the country. It was a super hit in the Hindi belt with a dream collection of 1000 Crores. It collected close to 80 Crores in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The only area that disappointed the film in terms of collections was Kerala. Fahad Fasil’s character made that impact.
