Jigra Day 8: Will Alia Bhatt’s film Sustain at the Box Office Beyond the First Week?

Jigra Day 8: “Jigra,” the action thriller featuring Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina, and Manoj Pahwa, directed by Vasan Bala, has completed its first week at the box office. Co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions, the film has received mixed reviews. Let’s check out the overall 8-day performance of Alia Bhatt’s Jigra at the box office.

Opening Weekend Collections

The film made its debut on the silver screen on the 11th of October 2024. Jigra kick-started its box office journey with an impressive opening day of Rs 4.55 Crore. Then the Alia Bhatt starrer saw a hike in the collections for the 2nd day and collected 6.55 Crore. By the end of the first weekend, The film collected Rs 5.5 Crore making its total first weekend collections to Rs 16.6 crore.

By the 4th day on its first Monday, Jigra saw a drastic dip in the collections with just Rs 1.65 Crore, Ever since the 4th day, Jigra collections at the box office have been declining rapidly. The film collected Rs 1.6 Crore on the fifth day. By the sixth day, the collections have even fall to Rs1.35 Crore. Upon completing 7 days at box office the film collected just Rs1.25 Crore. On the 8th day the film collected only Rs 1.15 Crore making it to Rs 23.6 Crore for 8 days of its theatrical run.

Competing Films

Jigra faced tough competition from Rajkumar Rao and Tripti Dimri’s film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Which was released on the same as Jigra. Though Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video outshined Alia Bhatt’s Jigra, the film is maintaining its pace at the box office. Though there’s stiff competition, “Jigra” continues its theatrical run.

With no major releases near the second weekend, Jigra may have a chance to perform well at the box office. Rajkumar Rao’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is still a competition for Jigra. As it has the equal opportunity with no major releases Until Diwali 2024.

Jigra was made with a budget of nearly 80 crores, the film has only collected Rs 23.6 Crore. The coming weekend will decide the fate of Jigra.
