How much prize money Team India took home after victory?

On March 9, Team India emerged victorious in the most coveted Champions Trophy 2025. Huge sums of money are awarded to the winners together with the grandeur of the white coat and the glittering winners medal. It’s time to find out how much money the victors will receive after India wins the most coveted trophy on Sunday amidst fireworks and a flower shower for the players.


Price Money Details: 

According to Sportstar, the Rohit Sharma-led squad will receive a substantial sum of ₹20 crore ($2.24 million) from this victory. At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the Men in Blue made history when they defeated New Zealand by four wickets. Notably, in addition to the runner-up title, New Zealand would receive ₹9.72 crore ($1.12 million).


Money for semi-finalists and additional participants:

Australia and South Africa, the losing semi-finalists, will each get ₹4.86 crore, or $560,000. Afghanistan and Bangladesh, the teams that placed fifth and sixth, would each receive ₹3.04 crore ($140,000). Additionally, the seventh and eighth-place finishers, England and Pakistan, will each receive ₹1.21 crore ($140,000).

Price money for all the teams: 

Furthermore, each team that competed in the Champions Trophy 2025 was guaranteed ₹1.08 crore ($125,000), while each victory in the tournament’s group stage guaranteed over ₹29.5 lakh ($34,000).

This represents a startling 53% increase over the 2017 edition, with the total prize fund of the 2025 Champions Trophy competition sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) valued at Rs. 59.9 crore ($6.9 million).

ICC Chariman Jay Shah said, “The substantial prize pot underscores the ICC’s ongoing commitment to investing in the sport and maintaining the global prestige of our events.”
