Chiranjeevi Congratulates Sunita Williams on Historic Space Return

Megastar Chiranjeevi took to social media to celebrate the safe return of astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore. The duo returned to Earth after spending 286 days in space. Chiranjeevi’s tweet expressed admiration for their courage.

Astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore have returned to Earth after an extended stay of over nine months at the International Space Station (ISS). They safely splashed down off the coast of Florida early Wednesday. The SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft, carrying Williams, Wilmore, American astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov re-entered Earth’s atmosphere and deployed parachutes before landing in the ocean at 3:27 am IST.

Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore initially planned an 8-day mission but their stay extended to 286 days due to technical challenges. During this time, they completed 4,577 orbits around Earth. Their return was made possible by SpaceX Dragon’s Crew-9 mission by ensuring a safe landing.

For the unversed, Sunita Williams is a renowned astronaut known for her contributions to space missions. Her return marks another milestone in human spaceflight history.
