MI trusts Hardik Pandya in IPL 2025: The five-time winners hope luck favours them in IPL 2025: MI has been going through a rough phase since 2020. The most popular team failed to reach playoffs since then except in 2023. Last year, the team remained at the bottom of the points table. MI won only 4 and lost 10 games. The idea of bringing Hardik Pandya back and handing over captain responsibilities didn’t work in their favour. However, MI team management trusted Pandya and continued him to captain the side this season as well. Unfortunately, Hardik will not lead the team in its IPL 2025 opener match.
Hardik Pandya and MI partnership: Hardik Pandya played a key role in MI’s success over the years. Alongside Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, Pandya had a crucial role in Mumbai Indians supremacy in the tournament. Surprisingly Ambani’s team let go of Pandya in 2022 and Gujarat Titans grabbed him with a leadership position. Hardik Pandya grabbed all the eyeballs after Gujarat won the IPL in its debut championship. This led MI to call Pandya back and handover skipper responsibilities.
