Mohanlal’s Open Apology

“I have come to know that some of the political and social themes in the film ‘Empuran’, the second installment of the Lucifer franchise, have caused deep pain to many of my loved ones. It is my duty as an actor to ensure that there is no hatred towards any political movement, ideology, or religious group in my films. Therefore, the Empuran team and I sincerely regret the mental anguish caused to my loved ones. We all realize that we have a responsibility behind this film. That is why we have decided together to definitely remove such elements from the film. For the past four decades, I have spent my film career as one of you. “Your love and trust are my strength,” Mohanlal penned.

L2 Empuraan: The Updated Version

The updated version will reportedly be aired starting next week after being reviewed by the Central Board of Film Certification. The ruling was made in response to allegations made by certain Hindu organizations in the state, According to their complaint, L2 Empuraan mocks their faith. In this instance, official information is still pending.

Gokulam Gopalan, the producer of L2: Empuraan, had stated that he had requested that director-actor Prithviraj edit the movie because it was alleged that it offended a particular segment of the public. “I have asked director Prithviraj to change any scenes or dialogue that offends anyone,” the producer stated in an interview with Manorama Online.
