After his latest transfer, he comes across a file that involves a gang of ruthless thieves who loot and kill along the highway.

The life of many sincere police offers who risks their life and also their families in order to create a safe space for the citizens is clearly seen. While the music of this film holds a great place in the viewer’s hearts, The actors are cherishing those days till date.

Along with the realistic portrayal of the Tamil Nadu Police in fiction, These aspects got appreciated by critics. It was a commercial success, grossing ₹96 crore at the box office. In addition, the film won the Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards, Techofes Awards, and two Edison and Vijay Awards, each. It received three nominations at the South Indian International Movie Awards and five Filmfare Awards; the film’s only win was Critics Best Actor – Tamil for Karthi. A sequel to the film was announced in November 2023.
