Pahalgam Terror Attack: India Blocks Pakistan Govt’s X Account

Pakistan Govt’s X Account: On Thursday, India blocked the ‘Government of Pakistan’ account on X, formerly Twitter. The handle’s X account displayed the following message: “Account Withheld @GovtofPakistan has been withheld in IN in response to a legal demand.”


Pakistan Govt’s X Account Gets Blocked:

The move followed India’s announcement of five retaliatory actions against Pakistan for Tuesday’s terror assault in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed at least 26 lives. According to the media sources, the terror incident was claimed by “The Resistance Front (TRF)”, a division of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba.


Pahalgam Terror Attack:

In the Anantnag region of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baisaran Valley, a terrorist attack on tourists claimed the lives of at least 28 people. The most horrifying assault on people in recent memory is this one. Numerous people survived this catastrophe. But a lot of people lost their husbands right in front of them. Newlywed couples made up the majority of the victims. They were left defenseless as the terrorists shot and killed them directly in front of them.

Amid Terror Attack:

But a lot of this work has been undone by the Pahalgam incident. Many tourists are abandoning their plans because they are afraid. In addition to having an impact on the economy, this jeopardizes the impending Amarnath Yatra, which draws thousands of pilgrims each year. The locals are devastated and furious. Following the attack, they demonstrated, calling for justice and voicing concerns about their future. For Kashmir, tourism is about pride, peace, and advancement rather than just financial gain. Everything is now unknown once more because of this attack.
