Sandhya Theatre Stampede Incident: Sri Tej Discharged from Hospital

Sandhya Theatre Stampede Incident: Sri Tej who was severely injured in the stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the release of Pushpa-2 on December 4, has been discharged from KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad. Sri Tej had been undergoing treatment for the past five months following the incident, which left him with significant injuries.

According to Sri Tej’s father, Bhaskar is now in stable condition and can open his eyes and see. Following the incident, the police filed cases against the theatre management, including the popular actor Allu Arjun. Allu Arjun was arrested as an accused in the case but was later granted bail by the High Court. However, due to delays in paperwork, he had to spend a night in the Chanchalguda Jail.

Allu Arjun expressed his sorrow about the incident and assured support for the affected family. Despite the incident happening almost five months ago, many people have moved on, but the recovery of Sri Tej remains a priority for his family. The doctors have recommended rehabilitation at a specialized center for further recovery. They suggest that Sri Tej undergo physiotherapy and stay at the rehab center for about 15 days before he can return home.

The stampede which occurred during a high-profile movie release caused widespread concern and the tragic event led to significant media attention. Sri Tej’s recovery continues to be closely followed and his family is grateful for the medical care he has received.

For the unversed, during the premieres of Pushpa 2: The Rule in Hyderabad, a stampede broke out at a special screening at the Sandhya 70MM theatre when Allu Arjun made an unexpected appearance. The incident led to the tragic death of a 35-year-old woman named Revathi while her eight-year-old son, Sri Tej, sustained injuries.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is action drama film written and directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings. It is a sequel to Pushpa: The Rise (2021) and is the second installment in the Pushpa film series. The film stars Allu Arjun in the titular role alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil and Rao Ramesh.
