Popular Tamil actor Ajith Kumar was recently hospitalised in Chennai after suffering a leg injury. The incident happened soon after he returned from New Delhi, where he received the prestigious Padma Bhushan award from the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

According to close sources, Ajith got injured while exiting the Chennai airport. A large crowd of fans and media had gathered to welcome him, and in the rush, he hurt his leg. As a result, he was admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

Doctors have assured that there is no major cause for concern. Ajith is responding well to treatment and has been advised to undergo physiotherapy for a speedy recovery. He is expected to be discharged either by tonight or tomorrow.

Ajith Kumar was honoured with the Padma Bhushan for his remarkable contributions to cinema and sports. During the ceremony, he appeared in a formal outfit, bowed respectfully to the President and audience, and expressed deep gratitude upon receiving the award.

Following the announcement of the award earlier this year, Ajith shared an emotional message through his publicist.
