MS Dhoni Future in IPL: At 44 years old, Mahendra Singh Dhoni remains a formidable force in the IPL. His leadership, sharp cricketing mind, and ability to handle pressure have made him one of the most admired cricketers in the world. However, Dhoni acknowledges that his time on the field is gradually nearing an end, leaving fans wondering whether IPL 2025 will be his farewell season.
Following his nail-biting victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Dhoni has this to say about his own future as a player. He said, “I play two months a year, and now after this IPL is done. I have to slog again for six to eight months just to see if my body will be able to withstand this kind of pressure.”
You could see that Dhoni has not yet made his choice for the IPL 2025, but he’s already physically exhausted since he spent too long sitting above the action.
Though there are some other young players who practice all year round throughout. Dhoni is careful to remain in the optimal physical condition all year round for the duration over which the IPL continues and judicious while considering another year.
