8-Day Double Match: If the BCCI holds the IPL in August or September, the tournament will clash with either the Caribbean Premier League, raising concerns about West Indian player availability, or The Hundred, affecting English players.
In response to the India vs. Pakistan war, the BCCI has significantly changed the IPL 2025 schedule. The board has issued important directives to all ten franchises, instructing them to attend a meeting on Tuesday. It has also told players to stay ready. National media outlets have begun reporting on these developments.
8-Day Double Match in South India?
Only 16 matches remain in this year’s tournament. Due to uncertainty around the timing of future conflicts, the BCCI wants to finish these remaining games as quickly as possible. They plan to wrap up IPL 2025 by May 25. To achieve this, they intend to schedule two matches per day, but only on Saturdays and Sundays. However, they may revise the schedule to allow two matches daily throughout the week. The BCCI is expected to announce the new timetable on Tuesday. To prepare, the board has ordered all ten teams to bring their players together.

“We’ll go over the competition schedule and figure out how to do it as efficiently as possible. Everything that was initially settled upon during the conflict, including the locations, will be reexamined. The BCCI official also stated that a final decision would be made soon.
