Dulquer Said No to ‘Thug Life’: But Will He Say ‘Oops’ Later?

Dulquer Salmaan: Kamal Haasan, Simbu, Mani Ratnam, and AR Rahman are collaborating on a film titled Thug Life, which is set to be released grandly on June 5. The trailer for Thug Life was released on Saturday, and watching it reveals intriguing aspects of the story: a father who isn’t really a father, a son who isn’t really a son, a gangster war unfolding, and another gang vying for dominance. The distance between the father and son only increases, ultimately leading to a confrontation between them.

The story for this movie was co-written by Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam. Whether there will be a sequel remains uncertain at this time, but we’ll have to see if Mani Ratnam includes any surprising twists at the end. Overall, Kamal Haasan and Simbu appear to be the highlights in Thug Life. While many speculated that Trisha would be paired with Simbu, the trailer reveals an unexpected twist: she is actually seen paired opposite Kamal Haasan.

There seems to be a big twist in the movie regarding Trisha’s character, and the trailer has certainly raised expectations. Rahman’s background music is mind-blowing and appears to be of international quality. Mani Ratnam’s distinctive style is clearly evident. Missed Opportunity for Dulquer Salmaan and Jayam Ravi

It’s known that Jayam Ravi and Dulquer Salmaan were initially cast in “Thug Life.” However, the shooting faced delays, and there were numerous changes in the story, leading both actors to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. If they had remained involved, one of them might have played the role originally assigned to Simbu. Whether they made the right choice by leaving or missed out on a great opportunity will only be revealed after the film’s release.

In this film, Trisha Krishnan plays Kamal’s lover, while Abhirami portrays his wife. Ashok Selvan and Aishwarya Lakshmi shine in every scene. Jojo George, Nasser, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Mirzapur’s Ali Fazal also appear in supporting roles. It remains to be seen whether Shreshth Movies will make a profit in the Telugu market with this film.
