Amidst the ongoing Kanguva controversy Suriya Shivakumar is focusing on his upcoming film Suriya 45. Actor recently graced film’s pooja ceremony and is set to reunite with Trisha Krishnan in in RJ Balaji’s directorial, tentatively titled Suriya.
Suriya Shivakumar’s starrer fantasy action Kanguva was released recently to mostly mixed responses, the National award winning actor has kickstarted his shooting of his upcoming film with debutant director RJ Balaji.

Suriya visited the Sri Masaniamman Temple in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, for the first puja ceremony of his next film with RJ Balaji, tentatively titled Suriya 45. The actor and Trisha have starred alongside each other in three films, Mounam Pesiyadhe, Aayutha Ezhuthu, and Aaru.
A Tamil film cinephile shared the news on his official Twitter accpunt. He wrote,” Suriya to reunite with Trisha Krishnan in in RJ Balaji’s directorial, tentatively titled Suriya 45 director RJ Balaji Suriya and RJ Balaji from Suriya 45 Pooja. The smile in Suriya’s face.”
The project marks the first collaboration between Suriya and actor turned director RJ Balaji and is said to be based on a concept initially pitched to Thalapathy Vijay, a few years ago. It is bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures production with an estimated budget of Rs 200 crores, which is yet to be confirmed by the team. Makers are reportedly planning to make an official confirmation abiu the film’s cast and crew.
