Train to Tirupati: Every year, lakhs of devotees from all over the country, apart from the Telugu states, flock to Tirupati to pay their obeisance to Srivari. There are many transport facilities available to reach Tirumala and some travel in their own vehicles, while others use buses and other government transport services. However, most devotees resort to the railway route. Unfortunately, recently, the residents of Peddapalli district faced a problem with the train service to Tirupati.
The halting of the Karimnagar – Tirupati Bi- Weekly Express (12762/12761) that used to stop at Peddapalli railway station was removed, causing great inconvenience to the devotees of this area. Not only that, Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna also expressed his dissatisfaction over this matter. Passengers brought it to the attention of the Peddapalli MP that the halting in Peddapalli was diverted after reducing the engine reversal time and opening a new bypass line. He immediately responded and brought the matter to the attention of the South Central Railway officials.
The MP brought to the attention of the South Central Railway that many passengers are facing difficulties due to the suspension of this halting in Peddapalli, and that not only are the expenses of the passengers increasing, but they are also unable to go to Tirupati for divine darshan. Hearing the MP’s words, the South Central Railway officials responded immediately.
The Railway Department has restored the removed halting. The Railway General Manager officially announced that the halting of Karimnagar Tirupati by Weekly Express at Peddapalli Railway Station has been restored at the request of the Peddapalli MP. The people of Peddapalli district expressed happiness as the halting that was stopped at Peddapalli Railway Station has resumed.
The residents of the district expressed their happiness that the railway problems were resolved one by one with the requests of the Peddapalli MP. Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna thanked the South Central Railway officials for restoring the halting. Chennur MLA Vivek Venkataswamy was also present with the Peddapalli MP. They expressed their happiness over the restoration of the halting at the Peddapalli railway station.
