Vaibhav Suryavanshi Touches PM Modi’s Feet at Bihar Airport

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old star for the Rajasthan Royals, stunned the cricket community with his outstanding achievements in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Suryavanshi was the buzz of the town despite Rajasthan’s failure to make it to the IPL finals, particularly because of his 35-ball century against the Gujarat Titans. Suryavanshi and his parents, however, had the chance to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Bihar airport on Friday. In a show of respect, the adolescent batter even caressed PM Modi’s feet.

PM Modi posted on his X account by saying, “At Patna airport, met the young cricketing sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his family. His cricketing skills are being admired all over the nation! My best wishes to him for his future endeavours.”

Who is Vaibhav Suryavanshi?
One of the tournament’s breakout players is Suryavanshi, who played for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) this season. The teenager amassed 252 runs in just seven games, but it was his spectacular century against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in Jaipur that rocked the cricket world.

Suryavanshi became the youngest centurion in men’s T20 cricket history by smashing 101 off just 38 deliveries while batting with a maturity well beyond his years. For a youngster only 14 years old, his century, which came off just 35 balls, now ranks as the second-fastest century in IPL history. PM Modi had previously praised the young cricketer for his IPL heroics in his Mann Ki Baat speech.
