The snag resulted in temporary delays and disorientation among the passengers traveling between the important stations during rush hours. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) promptly solved the issue, and normal operations resumed within a short while.

While crowds were stranded and they often took to social media to voice their displeasure, others relied on other means of mobility. Announcements were made via intercom across stations, although some passengers responded that they did not receive information in a timely fashion regarding the extent of the delay.

By mid-morning, normal operations on the Purple Line returned, and trains started running as usual. More staff were put in place at busy stations such as Majestic, MG Road, and Indiranagar to cater for the crowd and make boarding easy.
