Reddit: Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was named Reddit’s brand ambassador on Wednesday. According to a statement from the firm, sports fans will now have unique chances to interact with Tendulkar on Reddit groups. Batting legend Tendulkar will post exclusive information, match analysis, and personal reflections on his official Reddit profile. “In the coming months, Tendulkar will also appear in a new marketing campaign for Reddit in India as well as other markets throughout the world,” the statement continued.

“Cricket has always been about that pure connection with people, on and off the field,” Tendulkar stated about his affiliation with Reddit. What strikes me as I get to know Reddit is the unwavering enthusiasm that unites its communities. Durgesh Kaushik, Reddit’s Vice President for International Growth, stated: “Tendulkar’s name is synonymous with cricket excellence, and he possesses a remarkable ability to transcend boundaries and unite people through his extraordinary talent.”

“His presence on the field fostered a powerful sense of community among fans, who were drawn together by their shared admiration for the ‘Master Blaster, ‘” he stated. As interest in sports on Reddit has increased by 30% year over year, the site has been taking action to capitalize on this trend. Reddit established a new collaboration program with major US professional sports organizations, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, PGA Tour, and NASCAR, last year. Earlier this year, the firm announced a deal with the Italian professional football league, Serie A.
