Sanju Samson: Chennai Super Kings are preparing for a big move ahead of the next season’s IPL. CSK is trying to bring Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson to the team. Chennai Super Kings are trying to bring Sanju Samson to the team as a replacement for Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is in the last stages of his cricket career. It is not clear how long the 43-year-old Dhoni will be in CSK. The team management believes that Sanju is the best candidate to replace Dhoni when he retires.
CSK’s goal is to bring Sanju to the team before next year’s player auction. Reports say that Kolkata Knight Riders are also interested in acquiring Sanju. The talks were revived after Sanju’s manager liked a social media post suggesting that Sanju would leave Rajasthan and join Chennai Super Kings before the next IPL.
Although neither Sanju nor Rajasthan Royals have yet commented on the matter of leaving the team, fans are making heated arguments on social media.
It is not yet clear whether MS Dhoni will lead Chennai next season. Ruturaj Gaekwad’s captaincy has not yet been able to bring Chennai back to its former glory. If so, Kolkata and Chennai will have to bargain for Sanju in the star auction. Sanju, who joined Rajasthan Royals in 2013, has been the team’s captain since 2021.
He took Rajasthan to the final in one season. The 30-year-old Sanju has scored 4704 runs in 177 matches in the IPL, with three centuries. If Sanju leaves the team, Riyan Parag could become the new captain of Rajasthan. Riyan Parag led Rajasthan in the matches this season when Sanju was out due to injury. Sanju could only play 9 matches for Rajasthan in the last IPL due to injury. Riyan Parag led the team while Sanju played as an impact player in the first three matches.
