The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter has been well-received since its launch. To maintain this popularity, Bajaj is constantly developing the product based on customer feedback and market research. Bajaj now offers several variants and configurations. Here are all the battery packs available with the Chetak.
Bajaj Chetak Variants 3001 and 35 Series True to the names, the Chetak lineup is divided into two battery configurations. The smallest variant is the 3001, which has a 3kWh battery pack and a range of 127 km. This variant replaces the previous 2903 variant. The charging time of the 3001 has been improved. The existing 2.9kWh pack used to reach 0-80% SOC in 4 hours, while the new 3kWh unit does it a little faster, in 3 hours and 50 minutes. The 3001 comes with a 750W charger.
The larger 3.5kWh battery is available in three variants, the 3501, 3502 and 3503. The 3501 and 3502 claim a range of 153 km, while the 3503 offers a range of 151 km. The 3503 can reach a top speed of 63 km/h. The other two can reach a top speed of 73 km/h. The larger 3.5kWh pack will charge faster than its smaller 3kWh battery pack. This is faster because of the 900W charger that comes with these more expensive models. The 3502 and 3503 take three hours and 25 minutes to fully charge, while the top-spec 3501 charges in just three hours thanks to the 950W on-board charger.
The base 3001 and 3503 variants are similarly equipped. It offers essential features like a negative LCD dashboard with mobile connectivity. These variants also include call/message alerts, basic music controls, reverse mode, hill-hold assist, and guide-me-home lights. Both models use drum brakes on both sides.
The 3501 and 3502 include more premium features, including a TFT dash with app connectivity (this is a touchscreen unit on the top 3501). These include features like overspeed alert, guide-me-home lights, vehicle immobilization, and music controls. These are also the only variants to get front disc brakes. Of these, the 3501 stands out by offering keyless ignition and sequential indicators.
The 3001 is the most affordable variant priced at Rs 99,900. It sits between the lower-end TVS iQube 2.2kWh and the higher-end TVS iQube 3.5kWh and the Ather Ritz S. The 3503 is now priced at Rs 1.02 lakh, down from Rs 1.10 lakh earlier. The 3502 is priced at Rs 1.22 lakh. It competes against the iQube S 3.5kWh and the Ather 450S. At the top end, the 3501 is priced at Rs 1.35 lakh. It competes directly with the iQube ST 3.5kWh.
