Actress Meena: Rumors are gaining momentum that Meena, one of South India’s most beloved actresses, is preparing to enter politics. Reports suggest that she is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and could be entrusted with a key role within the party. Speculation intensified after Meena’s recent visit to Delhi, where she reportedly met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar and other senior leaders. The visit has fueled speculation that her political entry might be imminent, particularly with assembly elections around the corner.
Sources close to the BJP indicate that Meena may officially join the party before the upcoming assembly elections, and discussions are underway to assign her an important position. BJP Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagendran commented on the possibility, stating, “Many people are joining the BJP. Everyone will be accepted. It is natural for people to join when they see a chance of success.”
This is not the first time Meena has been linked to a political entry. Ahead of the last Lok Sabha elections, she attended the Pongal celebrations hosted by Union Minister L. Murugan in Delhi. The event, which had Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the chief guest, sparked rumors of Meena being given a prominent platform. However, she stayed away from politics at the time.
Now, with the BJP looking to rope in high-profile personalities from various sectors as part of its strategy for the upcoming elections, Meena’s name has resurfaced. Party insiders suggest that she is among several public figures being considered for candidacy.
Meanwhile, her family has clarified that Meena is currently in Mumbai with her daughter and is expected to return to Chennai this week. They added that they are unaware of any political developments at this time, according to a statement given to Media.
