Banks to Be Closed for 3 Days This Week: Check Full List

Bank Holidays This Week

Banks across India will be closed on different days next week due to various regional festivals and events. If you have important banking work to do, make sure to plan ahead.

Bank Holidays This Week

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list, banks will be closed for three days between June 30 and July 6, 2025, in select cities. These closures are due to Remna Ni, Kharchi Puja, and Guru Hargobind Ji’s Birthday.

June 30 – Mizoram

On Monday, June 30, banks in Aizawl, Mizoram, will be closed for Remna Ni. This holiday marks the anniversary of the Mizoram Peace Accord signed in 1986.

July 3 – Tripura

On Thursday, July 3, banks in Agartala, Tripura, will be shut in observance of Kharchi Puja. This is a major Hindu festival in the region dedicated to 14 deities, known as the Chaturdasha Devata.

July 5 – Jammu and Srinagar

On Saturday, July 5, banks in Jammu and Srinagar will remain closed to celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobind Ji, the sixth Sikh Guru.

Apart from these state-specific holidays, all banks in India will be closed on Sunday, July 6, as part of the regular weekly holiday.

Are Banks Closed on July 5 Elsewhere?

No. Banks in the rest of India will remain open on July 5, as it falls on the first Saturday of the month. As per RBI norms, banks are only closed on the second and fourth Saturdays.

Services Still Available

During bank holidays, online banking services, ATMs, mobile apps, UPI, and internet banking will continue to work. However, tasks like cheque clearance and in-person services will be affected.

Tip: Always check your local bank’s holiday schedule before planning visits, especially around festivals or regional events.
