At the Brazil Global Forum in São Paulo, Prime Minister Modi made his way from an uncompromising stand to the world-at-large, telling them that India will not tolerate terrorism in any form and will be strong against states that support and harbor terror networks. He made his comments during a high-level multilateral session on peace, security, and counter-terrorism strategies.
PM Modi maintained that terrorism is one of the greatest threats to humanity and that there can be no more tolerance or diplomatic-clevernest toward terror. Addressing these ambassadors and leaders from over forty countries, he stated that any family-related activity supporting terrorism must be punished.
“Terrorism is not just a security threat. It attacks humanity, peace, and progress. It is high time that the entire global fraternity joins together to isolate those nations that practice terrorism as a statecraft tool.”
The statement reaffirms India’s policy of “zero tolerance towards terrorism” in line with its long-standing position on cross-border terrorism and worldwide terror financing in addition to its hard, principled stance on internation terrorism.
PM Modi’s Official Remarks
“Nations that support terrorism, provide safe havens, or fund extremist ideologies must be identified and isolated. While India stands for peace, we shall not hesitate in using all our might to protect our people and sovereignty. Zero tolerance is not merely a slogan, it is our global obligation.”
The PM’s address signifies yet another initiative of the Indian diplomacy to put together a global coalition against terror ecosystems with a message: no more passive neutrality.

Call for Collective Global Action
According to PM Modi, world leaders must act decisively instead of just offering symbolic condemnations. This should include sharing intelligence in real-time at the country level and cutting off terror-financing linkages, as well as holding the states sponsoring terrorism to account internationally, including the UN and FATF.
Additionally, he noted that certain countries display double standards by condemning terrorism verbally but enabling it through their actions.
