2. October 2022: In Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh MiG 21 jet crashed in October 2022. During this crash, a civilian was killed on the ground.
3. July 2021: An IAF MiG-21 crashed in Barmer during a night training session. This was the fifth crash of that year. According to the sources, there were no casualties.
These repeated incidents have raised concerns over fleet maintenance, pilot safety, and the need to phase out aging aircraft.
