Elon Musk Claims Grok 4: Musk wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) about how his AI tool Grok 4, made by xAI, can easily fix everyone’s source code files entirely, which sent a lot of waves through the technology world.
“You can cut & paste your entire source code file into the query entry box on http://grok.com and @Grok 4 will fix it for you!” This is what everyone @xAI does. Works better than Cursor.” This bold statement means that Grok 4 is more than just a simple chat bot; in fact. It has been touted as a full-on AI-powered coding assistant that can assist developers in debugging and fixing large code bases with relative ease.
Grok 4 is the latest version of the Grok AI chatbot created by xAI, Musk’s artificial intelligence startup. Designed to integrate with X’s data in real time, Grok is Musk’s answer to tools like ChatGPT and Claude. But with Grok 4, the focus is expanding, especially toward helping developers with their coding tasks.
Cursor is an AI-driven tool for coding widely adopted among developers. It includes all necessary features inside VS Code, such as code completion, bug fixes, and suggestions from large language models. One such comparison throws Grok 4 in direct competition with Cursor when Musk said that you only have to just paste your entire code file in the interface on Grok.com and the AI would clean, fix, or optimize it for you.

While Cursor works around an IDE, Grok works through a web interface, making it more accessible. But whether it’s more efficient has yet to be tested.
