Hyderabad will face power cuts in several areas on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, as officials from the Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) carry out maintenance work and tree branch trimming. Residents in affected areas should plan ahead for these disruptions.
In Banjara Hills, ADE G. Gopi announced that the electricity department will cut power from 10 AM to 1 PM in areas under TV-5, Srinagar Colony, Jalagam Vengalrao Park, and IVRCL feeders. The electricity department will cut power from 2 PM to 5 PM in Filmnagar, Ellareddyguda, Banjara Hills Road No. 1, and Punjagutta Model House. The department scheduled these outages to carry out repair work and maintain a stable power supply.
In KPHB Colony, AEs Vani and Bheemalingappa stated that Vasanthnagar and Balajinagar areas will see power cuts.The electricity department will cut power from 10 AM to 1 PM in Bhagat Singh Nagar Phase-2, Vasanthnagar, Balajinagar, KPHB 15th Phase, Kaitlapur, Shriram Nagar, and Raghavendra Basti, and from 2 PM to 5 PM in Gokul Plots, KPHB 4th Phase, and Lucky Restaurant areas.
In Azamabad division, ADE Nageshwar Rao said Red Building and Balajinagar will have outages from 10 AM to 1 PM, Adikmet from 11:30 AM to 1 PM, and LN Nagar from 2 PM to 5 PM.
In Ramantapur, AE Kiran Kumar said CDTI, NMDC, Ramantapur Main Road, Doordarshan Quarters, and Homeopathy Hospital will face power cuts from 10 AM to 1 PM.Sainikpuri and Kapra, under AE Ramakrishna, will have cuts from 10 AM to 1 PM in Hastinapuri, Saipuri, and nearby areas, and from 2 PM to 5 PM in Gandhinagar and surrounding colonies.Other areas like Boudhnagar, Pet Basheerabad, Gajularamaram, and Rayadurgam will also face similar disruptions for maintenance.
The electricity department advises residents to prepare for these scheduled outages and stay updated through TGSPDCL announcements.
